WESTON DISTANCE LEARNING CELEBRATES 30 YEARS BY GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY

Fort Collins, Colorado - July 5, 2011 - Weston Distance Learning, a Fort Collins-based education provider for men and women across the United States, is celebrating its 30th anniversary in July by giving back to the community this summer.

To honor this milestone, Weston Distance Learning is partnering with United Way. This partnership effort includes a donation of $5,000 to United Way, contributing one dollar to United Way for every “A” assignment turned in by students during July (up to an additional $1,000), and launching Weston GIVES, a company-wide campaign developed specifically to enable employees to give back to the community year-round through United Way.

In addition, five deserving people will earn a $1,000 scholarship towards a program Weston Distance Learning offers through one of their three schools. Applications for the scholarship program were available online until August 1, 2011, and must be received by August 1, 2011 to be considered.

“United Way shares many of the same values that have guided our company over the past 30 years, and we are proud to be associated with this exceptional organization,” said Weston Distance Learning President Ann Rohr.

For three decades, Weston Distance Learning has empowered thousands of men and women through education and training. It is one of the oldest distance learning institutions in the United States.
